Yifeng Cui
Personal Webpage
Dr. Yifeng Cui is the founding Director of HPGeoC. He has general research interests in high performance computing, with expertise in parallelization, optimization, and performance evaluation on both massively parallel and vector machines. He also led Intel Parallel Computing Center at SDSC. Cui earned his Ph.D. in hydrology from the University of Freiburg, Germany.
Daniel Roten
Dr. Daniel Roten is a Computational Data Scientist with track record in the use of High-performance Computing simulations and deep learning for the prediction of earthquake strong ground motion. Dr. Roten received his Ph.D. in seismology in ETH Zurich in 2007.
Amit Chourasia

Amit Chourasia is lead of Visualization Services at SDSC. His work centers around the development and application of software tools that allow simulation of massively large data sets produced by scientific and engineering applications. His academic research is in animation, computer graphics, and visualization. He holds a Baccalaureate degree in architecture and a Master's degree in Computers Graphics Technology.
Dmitry Pekurovsky
Dr. Dmitry Pekurovsky is a senior computational scientist with training in Theoretical/Computational High Energy Physics and many years of experience in High Performance Computing. He has worked on a number of projects in diverse areas such as Lattice QCD, Bioinformatics, Turbulence and Oceanography. He is the author of numerical library P3DFFT http://www.p3dfft.net. His interests include code optimization, performance evaluation, open source software, numerical libraries and enabling large-scale simulations.
Abhinav Gupta
Abhinav Gupta is a Computer Science & Engineering graduate student. Before coming to UCSD, he was a software engineer at Nutanix, Bangalore; he also had working experience at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing. Abhinav received his Bachelor in CSE from BITS-Pilani.
Haochen Wang
Haochen Wang is a Math-Computer Science undergraduate student at UCSD with training in linear algebraic numerical methods. He has research experience in optimization mathematics.
Yiming Ren
Yiming Ren is a Computer Engineering graduate student, with experience in FPGA, CUDA programming and Neural Network models on LADI dataset in collaboration with MIT Lincoln Lab. Yiming received his Bachelor in Computer Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
